How it all began..............
It all began in 1999 when I begged my mum (margaret) to let me have a pet. I had only ever been allowed to have pet goldfish, as they never made a mess.
but I decided to take a look in the local Reptile shop, and came across Leopard Geckos, I spoke to the lady in the shop, she explained how to look after them correctly, and told me all about them, she sent me home with a lot of information.
I took this information home with me and showed my mum, who said to me, "If you can save up for it then you can get it" (not expecting me to be able to save over £100 for the whole set up) but just 3 short weeks later, I had the funds, and I was pestering my mum to take me to the shop to buy my Leopard Gecko.
When we got to the shop, I smilled at the lady behind the counter, as she helped me pick my lizard. My mum as you can imagine was not a happy women, but as promised she let me buy it.
We got my lizard home, set up his tank, Gave him a name (Maximus Decimus Meridius) AKA Maxie. Maxie was a lovely little lizard, he lived for nearly 4 years, but then had to go to the vets, as he had mouth rot, he was given some treatment, but later he started to refuse food, and then sadly died.
I then persuaded my mum to let me have a snake, which I bought on December 28th 2004.
It was a garter snake, which was very fast, almost uncontrolable. then after christmas I added a Corn snake to the collection.
since then I have kept adding to the collection, and currently have over 15 snakes.
